Housing - Hotel - Offices
Strasbourg is a multiple facets town. In the heart of this diversity, the Saint-Urbain’s block located in the “ZAC Etoile”, constitutes the major link between downtown and Neudorf district.
The project represents the strategic core of the urban ambition for this new Euro-metropole and aims to create a second centrality, attractive and open to the river Rhin. It consists in taking benefits of the “passage” condition of the block and using architecture to generate strong relations and interesting urban situations.
The geometrical drawing allows scale and typology vanishings. Saint-Urbain synthesizes diverse formal surrounding systems, in continuity with the existing.
The project is composed of 7 parallelepipeds and their volumes are positioned so they define two public spaces.
